Location

Albergo Malibu is at Corso Mombello 13, on the second floor of a Liberty-style building in the centre of Sanremo. The seafront is 50 metres away, Spiaggia Terrazza 150, Forte di Santa Tecla around a hundred metres, and the Old Port is within walking distance; the Ariston Theatre and the Casino are about 300 metres away.

Getting there

The nearest airport is Nice Côte d'Azur, 46 kilometres away, about fifty minutes by car. Direct buses run from Terminal 1 to Piazza Cesare Battisti in Sanremo in about an hour. Alternatively, walk or take the tram to Nice-Saint-Augustin station, catch a ZOU! regional train to Ventimiglia and then a Trenitalia train, which reaches Sanremo in 11 to 18 minutes; from Ventimiglia, Riviera Trasporti bus line 2 also serves the town.

Sanremo station is 950 metres away, around 13 minutes on foot. The platforms are in a tunnel, reached from the Corso Cavallotti entrance along a long corridor with moving walkways, so allow a few extra minutes. Drivers arrive on the A10 Genoa–Ventimiglia motorway; once at the hotel, the centre is easy to explore on foot.

What to see

Close by is La Pigna, the medieval quarter that grew up around the year 1000, entered through the fourteenth-century Porta di Santo Stefano; since August 2026 the old underground passage towards Via Palma has been open again. Corso Matteotti, the shopping street, passes Palazzo Borea d'Olmo and the Ariston Theatre, home of the Festival since 1977, while the 1905 Casino and the five-domed Russian Orthodox church stand close together.

Forte di Santa Tecla, built by Genoa after 1753 and long used as a prison, reopened to visitors in July 2026. Along the sea runs the coastal park cycle path, now continuous from Ospedaletti to Andora. Dates for the diary: the Sanremo Festival from 16 to 20 February 2027 and Milan–San Remo on Saturday 20 March 2027, finishing on Via Roma.
